I knew I was going to end up as a NEET while still in education. Tried to avoid it by working my ass off to get around of my lack of internal motivation... jobs, started my own business, took up a postgraduate study. Realised it's not really nothing to do with the amount of effort I put it... I was born to be like this.... I found out that i've got a weird type of ADHD (SCT) sluggish cognitive tempo... which is pretty much the opposite of adhd .... which makes it harder for people to motivate themselves in doing something for themselves in anyway. Doesn't matter how grand you're plans are... if you have sct ... you probably won't be interested in it after a week or so.

Millions of people of been diagnosed under the normal type of ADHD but as the discovery of SCT is pretty new I think that millions of NEETS who've been thinking their slackers all their lives and blame themselves for it actually have no one to blame but nature. We just have to work harder than others to achive whatever it is that we want in life. Fortunatly a lot of us are blessed with a higher than average intelligence to make up for it.

Re: Thanks for the Comments!

Hey, how are you doing?

Re: First Mission: Create a To-Do List For Cleaning Your Room

Hey just wanted to let you know that at least 1 person is waiting for you to update this blog as I'm also trying to recover from being a NEET for a long time.
u actually put up a picture of you doing something that some would think is
worthless but could be related to anything in real life that is of much worth than dota..
i want to point out here that whatever you do in life, it might be a li'l insignificant(to some)...
it is important that you do it.. with consistency...
however, it doesn't mean that you have to get yourself attached to it...
one thing, it is also important it is something that you want todo or to have 'coz in life
there is nothing you have to do. what i mean is you are here, at this point of your life,
because of the choices you made. to counter procastination consider that the "NOW" is more important
than the past or even the future 'coz the future
will just follow on whatever you do today... i can't believe myself typing this all down... phew!!!

anyway am just an ordinary person just the writer i have always been a ...
i don't want to remind myself again of what i have been...
i've learned my lessons so i think it is worth forgetting...

Re: First Mission: Create a To-Do List For Cleaning Your Room

Great blog... it's shame you haven't updated this recently... i think this kind of thing is what a lot of people who are "NEETs" need.

you sir have inspired me =)

Re: Ranking Your Tasks

Nice article..
Consistency is the key. Although I get super excited about things, such as starting on grad school applications or finding scholarship information on the internet, I end up procrastinating because I lose motivation. If I was more consistent, and kept myself motivated, I would have been able to further myself at this point in my life.
This blog has motivated me to do things I've been putting off time and time again. But hopefully, with your tips and solutions, I can follow through on my ideas and plans this time around.
Thanx!
